Actually there is very cold dense water falling down into the depths. It’s pulling the sand and silt down with it. In fact, there is so much water flowing over this underwater waterfall that it’s the biggest waterfall in the world, and the tallest. It’s called a cataract.

I am from Mauritius and it is just an optional illusion created by underwater current and the sand 😊. Mauritian been swimming and doing water activities all their life ..safely 😊

It's not that safe to swim on spots like that. I've been brought up on an island, and what I've been taught was the ocean currents clash between spots like that. Especially between two reefs, it'll feel like your being pulled back into the ocean even if your doing the best to swim back ashore. Hello from Maldives 👋

Actually, there is an under water waterfall because of the difference in cold and hot water it causes the cold water do drop down.

Nothing is falling it’s just the current that shapes stripes of sand that way and create an illusion from a certain angle in the air of a waterfall
