Unusual Trio of Merging Galaxies Captured by Hubble. This unusual merger of three large star-forming galaxies, collectively known as SDSSCGB 10189, is occurring at a distance of barely 50,000 light-years. The three galaxies in question are on a collision course and will eventually combine to form one larger galaxy. They are so close to one another that it appears as though they are becoming one. Strands of gas and dust are circling between them, distorting their shapes as well. The merging process will result in a significant change in the shapes of galaxies. A tremendous amount of light is being ejected by these galaxies. Due to the fact that merging galaxies are also formed of gas and dust, they may act as a catalyst for star formation.#shorts

In a merger they always say the stars are not going to collide But they never thought to show what would happen if 2 collided at great speed

The commentary is a bit ambiguous. The galaxies are merging from a distance of 50, 000 light years from each other, not from the Solar System. The distance of the three galaxies from the Solar System is more that 2.5 million light years.

Whoever lives there are screwed. Lol
We are extremely lucky. Plus phenomenons like this could cause exile planets if they were to sling-shot a world.
