You did not have to do this with the previous version of Spyder, such as Spyder 3.3. You could simply install packages through the Windows terminal, by writing "pip install ... ". Then, after you install Spyder, everything was working OK. Why did you complicate this?

You pass so fast without patience so it is really hard to follow what you did specifically for someone who works with PC. Can someone please let me know the last step. I couldn't have been able to install openpyxl which is necessary for reading excel files.

Awesome! I had to reinstall Pandas when changing my interpreter but I used the same process and had no issues. Great video!

Love to do this, but the instructions and creating an environment don't make a bit of sense. The dialog is difficult to understand, and the auto-generated captions have errors.

It seems like this explanation is so incomplete. Isn't there a video out there that shows how to do these things in simple baby steps?? It seems like the people who make these videos do not want beginners to learn how to do these things

I run Spyder 5.1.5 on my laptop having downloaed it with Windows installer and comes with Python 3.7.9. I cannot figured out how in the video a pervious version of Spyder (i.e. Spyder 5.0.3) is running Python 3.9.5? Is it possible to install additional packages to the Spyder standalone application without creating a new environment using conda or minconda?

Nice to have a video... but I would have prefer to have a written copy or at least the commands used this video included within the description.

I won't be using Spyder anymore. This is ridiculous.

This is enough of a reason to uninstall spyder.

The script isn't easy to read in this video but thanks for posting anyway. It does provide some structure.

After doing all that, Spyder can't connect to the new kernel. Any sugestions?

Hello, I followed every step in this Vedic but still could not get sklearn work in spader from the Conda file. I run Spyder from anaconda navigator, and it works just fine. Can anyone help, please?

Cannot restart a kernel not started by Spyder
another error-prone installation workflow, which takes away development time, ugh
Edit:
Found a solution as for my Spyder version 5.12.3 it requires 2.2.1 version of spyder-kernels, I used this command after activating spyder-kernels:

conda install -c conda-forge spyder-kernels=2.2.1
