I also started making swords like this recently, and after about 5... all i can say is wow.

He is doing this with hand tools, going almost entirely off of the original outline (assumedly), and chiseling against the grain like a madman...

And it still turned out exquisite.

He has reached max level.

The wood had a much more pleasant texture than the paint. Maybe should've just stained it with metallic high lights such as on the cutting edge?

The fact that this is hand made most simple katanas made out of wood is very expensive in japan yet its not even handmade ❤❤
