Cheers Ash. The last thing I had that worked like that used an elastic band that you had to wind up first, then let go and pray, that was years ago. Worth getting one to see how the concept and technology has evolved.

I am planning to see how long this drone holds up against a falcon this year.

Ooh!! An ornithopter. I tried the original (and a few others including a tiny butterfly) and all of them were better flown on a dead calm day or inside a large hall. _If you do fly it indoors, avoid celebratory candles_
I do like the fact that you will try and fly anything :D

I think I had as much fun watching this review as it seem's that you had making it. Bit of a challenge and yet you still had a chuckle every few moments. Looks like a good stress relief toy if nothing else. I vote no on a camera the footage would just make you dizzy anyway lol...

Great review. I've always had a soft spot for ornithopters and, like you, I had the original bird as a stocking filler from my wife. It was a lot of fun but I seem to remember it had a controller rather than using a smartphone. I'm looking forward to seeing the next iteration of this bird. I'm hoping for more range and better control.

@droningon what do you know about the newer version coming out this years I haven't been able to find anything about it

That's very cool. I wouldn't worry about the no camera thing though - surely any footage you got would be unusably shaky...

I'm not sure that I would actually buy something like that, I suppose it would make a good conversational piece outside. Probably a good tool for somebody who wants to lose weight after a while of chasing it after it falls will definitely burn some calories. Nice video, just glad it's not a mavic 2 Pro or a mavic to zoom video again.👍👍😎✌

Hey, it’ll be even better if it could send messages to other people lol like you put paper in it’s claws or something then you stand and send it to an open window. That’s cool, you know, but it’ll need claws for this, right? Or maybe it’ll be able to hold it in its mouth?

Unfortunately, my bird is not detected in the application, even though I paired my phone with the Bird via bluetooth and the blue LED has stopped blinking. I don't even know where to look for support, as it seems there are no issues about this so far on the internet... FeelsBadMan.

Interesting concept. I have seen other bird like machines, but they all look and fly about the same. Not sure I would pay $89 for one though. What makes the deluxe version different from the others? It would have been nice if they fitted it with FPV in the nose perhaps. Nice singing and great review. :-)

Aeriums really got a nice product, nice it preys on the eireeframe s of whether birds, they are very interested in primate and non primate human derivatives, a.i. Preying on the dish of perhaps educating with empathy. Most airports should have both, The recent stunt at Gatwick three months later maybe not being being the F.A.A juristiction and perhaps irrelevant would be a good approach to see organic camoflage. obviously a local aviary near every for mating and migration of natural species would be complex luxury. This rare anyhow, some birds have just go with the weather and would risk an no go around anyway. The giant insect fear factor too of other frame not being a bird myself being consumed by a natural prey feeds their flocks. The optics do go to thepilot and visual information is stored in guidance computation. Perhaps the cam obsession is sated by its relativity to FLIR and everynes view of how it can sweep airport night and day and be like a nighthawks and owls.
