Is it strange that the "It doesn't get any better" part is oddly comforting for me? Like, the way it's written, the words sound depressing and apathetic at first listen, but for me, it's more like, "Yeah, bad things are gonna happen, no matter how hard you try to prevent it, but why are you dwelling on it? Why spend your valuable time on this earth obsessing over the bad stuff?" I don't know if it's just me, but I like it.
