Fun fact: while fenestration is the latticework of skulls, Defenestration is the act of throwing someone out/through a window!

I'd sooner have human bones in an enclosure than have an Orange Bitey Thing in my apartment. Beautiful, but terrifying.

When my old Burmese died we buried him inside a pillowcase in the garden, a year later we accidentally disturbed his grave site and I pulled his bones out, I found something very odd amongst the bones and realised it was his last meals skull, it was really fascinating, my hubby said I'm weird but I thought it was so interesting

Hannibal is supposed to be a “fierce OBT”, but he’s honestly just so dang cute, especially with the captions

Fun Fact: Squirrels are actually omnivores and some have been known to kill and eat baby rabbits. Based on the size of that rabbit skull, I doubt the squirrel killed that rabbit, more likely I took the opportunity for a free snack after the rabbit already passed.

My favorite thing is how you're explaining that his bites are medically significant and he is super fast, all while leaving the lid wide open.

I had a T. Blondi, and she had a cow's skull in her terrarium. She absolutely loved it :')

I know this is so bad but I really think if he “teleported” I might accidentally smack him out of instinct...

Actually "Orange bitey thing" is the scientific name, of the genus Orange and the species Bitey Thing

The second I saw an OBT my brain went "Oh no". As someone who has been bitten by one of those fuckers (no I wasn't messing with one, I was feeding it and it ran up the damn tongs and got me before I could drop them), they are NOT for beginners, holy heck. They hurt so much, spent 2 days in hospital because of it.

fun fact - bone chewing in herbivores is pretty common! It's scientific name is Osteophagy!
herbies will mostly do so if they're mineral-deprived; the bones provide essential nutrients, such as Calcium, phosphorus and a bit of sodium.

Emily and Ed: "They're known to 'teleport' they're so fast" *holding the lid open*

Me: *stress*

So a couple things about what is actually recommended for OBTs:
The enclosure size and front opening is fine but the screen top can actually be bad for them, they can get their toes stuck. The light is unnecessary and potentially a problem in excessive heat and lighting, you'll barely see the spider as is, the light will just scare it. Ambient temperature and light should be fine. I would also give them more substrate towards the back so that they can burrow more.

I have severe entomophobia and arachnophobia, but snake discovery got me through my fear of snakes and lizards in the past, so I’m trying to desensitize myself to spiders
