_Yet as the mighty Titan fell, and dread engulfed the armies of Doom, the Demon Priests of the Blood Temples laid a trap to capture this scourge of Hell. Insatiable, even by the vanquishing of the Great One, the Hell Walker sought prey in the tombs of the Blood Keep... and, blinded by his fervor, the lure drew him in. The Priests brought down the temple upon the Doom Slayer, and in his defeat, entombed him in the cursed sarcophagus. The mark of the Doom Slayer was burned upon his crypt, a warning to all of hell that the terror within must never be freed._

*_There he lies still, and ever more, in silent suffering._*

Why do people never talk about this song. Super underrated

I will never understand why Mick didn't end the official version of this song with the in-game demon choir.

This is the fucking perfect song from the OST. Every single moment of it screams "fuck you, you're in hell"

i like how the game goes from picking off a few demons to slaughtering hell itself.and nothing makes that more fun than a soundtrack as good as this. loving every track so far.

I feel this song perfectly sums up the DOOM experience. The non-stop tension, the unrelenting and bombastic guitars, and of course the haunting choir singing a chorus of DAMNATION. They paint a picture of a dark and forsaken universe where GOD has abandoned us and there's only one man standing between HELL and HUMANITY. A man who himself is no longer human yet continues to fight no matter the suffering he brings onto himself. He is here.

When this part begins to play in the game is when you feel an unstoppable anger and hatred that turn you into the Doom Slayer.
Rip and tear until it is done.

The slayer never gets PTSD because he IS the traumatic event.

This was by far my favourite piece. It was the turning point in the game for me, going berserk in hell to this really tied everything together. Thanks for this, Mick.

The fact that this gets constantly overshadowed by BFG Division is criminal, IMO. That explosion of choir is spine-tingling every single time-- I wish this had made it into Eternal.

BFG Division got all the popularity in the DOOM2016 soundtrack, and no shade against that song it's a fantastic song, but this is truly the crown jewel. A perfect fit for ripping and tearing your way through the Kadangur Sanctum of Hell.

The brutal shredding, the chaotic industrial drums, the Hell Choir itself, it all just comes together beautifully and is just *chef's kiss*

The doomslayer threw a grenade and killed 86 demons, then the grenade exploded.
