Thanks for all your couldn't get my new carpet to bite the gripper strips today, maybe the underlay is too thick, I tried tapping them with my hammer, bending the tacks towards the wall, still wouldn't bite, and would love to know what's best knife to cut quite a thick carpet, I had a one of those days I'm only an amateur 😅
