Google Pixel Fold 2, BIG Changes | What To Expect | TSW187

Google's Pixel Fold 2 is expected to launch later in 2024, boasting upgraded camera tech, a fresh Tensor G4 chipset, AI shenanigans and all-new design. Here's the latest Pixel Fold 2 leaks and rumours, and what I'd like to see from this latest foldable phone.

To beat the OnePlus Open, it's gonna take some serious software updates that's for sure. Still, Google's bendy smartphone should offer one of the best camera experiences on a foldable. And the Pixel Fold 2 will apparently sport a redesign much more similar to OnePlus' excellent Open.

You can expect the fresh Tensor G4 to power proceedings, so here's hoping this phone is a gaming superstar with excellent battery life. That's the same Google chipset that's the brains of the Pixel 8 and Pro, so the Pixel Fold 2 should be right up there with those flagships for games and AI features.

The UK price and release date are unknown but expect the Google Pixel Fold 2 to launch in October 2024. It should be on sale before Christmas, with a cost of around £1899. But what are some of your hoped-for features that you'd like to see stuffed inside the Pixel Fold 2? Let us know below!

10:15 Playstation has been pretty bad for a while now with regards to backwards compatibility; the PS2 pretty much nailed the backwards compatibility to the point where it pretty much made the PS1 redundant (there is nothing a PS1 can do in terms of official functionality that a PS2 can't....apart from play the PS1 boot up sound when you turn it on),
the PSP could play PS1 games bought from the PlayStation Store (unless of course you hacked it in which case you could play any PS1 iso you feel like),
the PS3 initially had rather hit or miss PS2 backwards compatibility which they inevitably ditched in the later models starting with the 40GB PS3 model but they did at least keep the PS1 backwards compatibility on all PS3s....and then they introduced the ability to play PS2 games bought from the Playstation Store,
the PlayStation Vita pretty much had all of the same functions as the PSP but lacked the UMD drive to play physical PSP games (but, again, if you were willing to hack it you could play ripped or downloaded isos of your favourite PS1 or PSP games and even get the Vita to emulate the PSP's OS),
the PS4 has premium backwards compatibility that only works with games that are whitelisted and available on the Playstation Store,
The VR2 is literally the only PlayStation product with absolutely no backwards compatibility in any form,
and finally, the PS5 is pretty much the only PlayStation released in a while that allows you to play previous gen games even if you own them on disc and don't have a subscription.

Honestly though, for me it'd be awesome if Sony found a way to make the VR2 backwards compatible whilst also giving it the ability to let you watch 3D Blu Rays like you could with the VR1 (I know people don't care about 3D so much anymore but Sony are one of the only big companies I know that give their niche audiences any attention; if they can still keep spawning out MP3 Walkman Players to this day then why can't they stick 3D on their latest VR headset? 🤷‍♂️)

I actually really like the form factor of the first pixel fold. If they could make it less thicker, get rid of that disgusting crease and give it better cameras, I'd happily buy the next one.

I ended up going from my pixel 6 to the one plus open mostly because i love that its a normal looking phone the just flips open. I personally hope google would make almost an exact copy of this so i can switch back
