Erik Crawford, owner of Ultra Pure Systems based out of Arizona, walks you through how to start up your Si6ma ultrasonic humidifier using factory settings.

Before we get this unit running, let's go back to the original installation video where we talked about the absorption distance that's required for these humidifiers to run properly. Take a look around the humidifier... Make sure that the imaginary envelope around the humidifier is there and nothing is in its way. If that displaced mist touches anything, those droplets will get bigger and bigger over time.

Make sure the electrical is tied in on the wall into the 150 volt receptacle. Open up the ball valve inlet water slowly and make sure drain is tied in.

The nozzles are adjustable which helps with displacement in the direction you'd like.

Keep in mind the temperature reading is with the embedded humidistat on the humidifier. Even if you installed a remote humidistat, it will only read humidity. It will not show the RH as the unit is disabled, but the next screen will be the RH. You will also see the amount of time the humidifier has run as well as PO (displacement of mist that is capable at 100%). BP is the next screen which is the hysteresis, the high and low of your set point. The very last screen is the set point.

Let's get this unit running...

The disable/enable allows you to turn on and off the unit locally.

The mist coming out is proportional control.

The factory settings typically work the best.
