I am so happy to be able to premiere my student film EDNÖRA with you today!!

I cannot express how proud and satisfied i am about this short!! It might be just a minute, but that one minute is the first and biggest accomplishement of my life. Being nominated at 3 festivals, winning 2 grants and winning best animated short of the year at swiff festival 2023 is the biggest honor i could have imagineD and hope for. It took me so long to get there but i feel it was so worth it!

I am truly truly grateful to everyone who supported me during the making of that hell job. I also want to take a minute to thank my family, friends, classmates, teacher and most of all, you folks who stick around followed and watched me grow slowly during 4 long years of labour. I would be nothing of what i am today if it wasnt from you.

This was an absolutely outstanding piece of animation. Wonderfully expressive, energetic, and choreographed. The way Jaizybel's face morphs so completely looks great, but I really have to hand it for you for that instant at 0:26 where she gets that magnificently wild and manic expression. Such a fantastic show of her character in that instant. The way her little crown follows her at every moment is such a fun detail. She's as expressive as the wisps, who on their own are brilliant in their personality and designs. The entire thing has a marvelous energy to it that really keeps things moving and gives you exactly as much story as you need to enjoy it.

I also have to give huge props to the backgrouns and the general style of things. It all just oozes scandanavian style, and that was even before the outro, whose art shift deserves equal praise. The rocks with the runic markings, the style of the stuff, even her coat and colour scheme all work together to convey the place and spirit of the location. And great use of the backgrounds at the 0:47 moment when she crashes into the tree and takes the snow on the head. You're an absolutely fantastic animator.

The art style may be similar to Vivzie, but this wolf character doesn't actually "feel like" loona at all to me. They're both wolves obviously, but the visual and color similarity is akin as compared to spiderman and deadpool, and yet still have their own identity. I actually think the overall quality of the animation itself surpass Hellavaboss. This make me want to do my own animated short.. this is inspiring stuff!

Edit: I just have to address this since the lot of y'all really don't get what I am saying and it is starting to quite annoy me. When I said "better writing", I was saying that I liked seeing this work and how it played out more than the recent episodes of Helluva Boss. Y'all can be mad all you all want but Vivziepop's recent work has not been up to standard, and I was complimenting this short film for being a consistently paced and simple piece. Joyark couldn't animate for a minute until the higher ups extended the film time. Also, I don't think you understand that this type of film, the story is up to your interpretation on why Ednöra wants the will'o the wisp. Y'all don't need something to be made for you for you to understand the short. Just had to make it clear because obviously I can't make a statement that isn't as long as the freaking Mahabharata 💀.

This wolf radiates scrat energy, the lack of any speaking adds a lot of character.

The animation has a great flow to it, the art style is similar to Viviepop but the humour is more like something out of Disney

It’s good don’t get me wrong. But we don’t have to compare and put other animators down to acknowledge that. It’s very fluid and has a wonderful use of color and lighting. I really loved the expressions used too. Conveyed wonderfully devious emotions.

This clearly takes inspiration from Vivienne's work, but it does have a somewhat unique look to it; particularly in the backgrounds. The character movement is also reminiscent of old cartoons, but more solid and less rubbery. I'd be curious to see this develop into a unique style.

This was so beautiful, I love the backgrounds and the character a lot and the animation is just so fluid and satisfying to watch!

Like others have said, the style does like similar to Vivziepop’s, but Vivzie does not own an art style, no one does. You’re free to work in whatever style you feel comfortable with. You’re definitely going places with art and animation like this, keep it up <3
