TAC9ER Carbon Trekking Poles

For my upcoming thru hike of the Tahoe Rim Trail I'm looking at a new pair of trekking poles. I found these at a much more affordable price than the other quality carbon poles out there. Let's see how they hold up over time!

You can find them on Amazon.

My Cascade Mountain Carbon fiber poles have cork handles and have been great for three years and still going strong and the price is right. Good luck with those; hope they work well.

I use a wooden Brazos hiking stick, yes I know it's not ulta light weight, but it's very useful and stronger than typical light weight carbon fiber and aluminum poles

Nice to hear about these. I have been using the same pair of Gossamer LT 4's since 2009. Not complaining but I just cannot wear them out :). The adjuster parts are guaranteed for the life of the pole; I did have to contact GG for a new set of those. I had the new adjusters in 2 days. The old GG poles have no straps, and I have actually not missed the straps. I am definitely waiting for your opinions on these.

I’ve been using those since the first of the year, and I really like them, actually. Still not sure if they’re my favorites, but they aren’t bad.

Have you checked out RutaLocura CF poles? Probably not as rugged as what you are looking for. Good for tents that require a pole and if you need some general balance while hiking.

What is the benefit of having them fold up? Aren't they easy to strap to the outside of a pack without folding them or in a trunk when not in use?

Curious to see how they hold up! I've been using the Cascade Mountain 3k poles for a couple years now and they're awesome. I paid $50 for them.

Not a fan of black diamond carbon z poles. They sucked really hard in snowfields.
