Here's one, kids! Musician Dave Schneider took precautions to ensure that his $10, 000 Gibson ES 335 guitar would be safe on his flight, but the guitar came back significantly damaged by Delta Airlines. Delta offered $1, 000 in compensation, but the musician refused the offer, not knowing how or if the instrument could be repaired. In the end, Gibson Guitars not only offered to repair the guitar free of charge but gave Mr. Schneider a replacement guitar, a ES 335 similar to the one damaged by Delta. (This pains me because my grandfather flew with Delta for 27 years until 1980.)

That news story about the Asian gentleman being assaulted and United Airlines’ apology still bugs me to this day. Ever since that story first aired and it followed up with a so-called apology, I wasn’t buying it in the least! 😡




They’re hardly “united” towards their passengers if you ask me.

Dr. David Dao didn't deserve what happened to him. Being dragged out of the plane with a bloody face. It wasn't his fault that United didn't make room for their staff. Fly the friendly skies, huh? Too bad they weren't friendly with Dr. Dao.

Anyone remember the guy who had his guitar smashed by United Airlines and made 3 songs about United's poor service? That was comedy gold and the best way to get petty revenge

73: A poor guy that doesn’t want to give up his seat
A woman’s child had to be on her lap through the whole flight
A family being threatened cause of giving up their kids seats
Ruining a boys birthday cake
A family lost a puppy
Woman with baby that almost got hit
A mother having her daughter calm


Conclusion: I don’t know who had worse but I feel bad for all of them

Several times my wife and I have sat in our confirmed seats with seat number printed on our boarding passes. After getting asked if those were our seats we just held up our boarding passes so they didn't have to ask. We couldn't be bumped because we didn't want to miss our connecting flight.
I can't help it if they overbooked those flights. It has happened several times so we look into having our seats confirmed beforehand.
Physically forcing a doctor off a flight in spite of a valid reason not to get off is assault an actual crime, no perceived immunity. That dog don't hunt. Assaulting and injuring a law abiding citizen is unforgivable.

Way to twist the disaster in your company’s favor, Munoz. Your staff “politely” ejected an essential worker from the aircraft, after delivering physical harm. Good job, Oz. American Airlines, it is!

Airline: its peak season, demand is high so ticket more expensive.
Also airline: no one is flying, we need to breakeven so ticket more expensive

2) Aeroflot won the cause mostly because they had more money to give to the judge….but also because it’s an (un)official unspoken rule in pretty much _all_ flight companies everywhere that assistants must be skinny and very good-looking.

I worked at a call center for a rental car agency and later a hotel chain. As bad as those were, I really think I dodged a bullet - the one that probably would have went through my head - by never working for one representing an airline.
