Probability Comparison: Psychopathic Jobs

Показать описание
According to studies, if you pick someone from 100 people anywhere in the world, there is 1% chance that he is a psychopath ( or 1 in 100 probability). But this ratio changes when we narrow down into specific categories such as psychopathy among professions. Kevin Dutton, a British psychologist and writer, specializes in the study of psychopathy. In his book "The Wisdom of Psychopaths," he made a list of the types of jobs that attract the most psychopaths. So we made this into a probability video, the ranking is from least to most psychopathic jobs (derived from the book), and the probability is based on other sources, discussions and approximate estimations that could have some degree of error.

I completely disagree with the early ones, especially teacher and charity worker. I've met a lot of charity workers who are clearly in it for no other reason than being able to hold it over other people. I've met (and had) more psychopath teachers than I can count. Also high status professions like doctors by definition attract psychopaths like moths to a flame. I do like that surgeon was given its own much higher category though, as I think there is a major difference between a surgeon and a general practitioner in terms of psychopathy.

Fictional Writers 1 out of 1.
They express their Psychopathic desires by tormenting their fictional characters rather than tormenting real people.

Maybe psychopathic behaviour is an evolutionary thing. I think that there were a necessity for people that can handle shit for the society. Although, most of them are in proson, many have lead humanity to success.

I'm a high-functioning sociopath (Very similar to psychopath), and have a particular interest in cardiological medicine. I have one of two career paths, either down police officer - detective, and work up the ranks, or medical school - doctor - specialty. I'm not sure which to pick
