This thing was ridiculously expensive for what it was and it was the only time apple could have gotten away charging what they did.

The 5c is still my favorite design of any iPhone, I loved the colorful backs . A lot of people said “plastic is cheap” but the phone felt good to me and I’d totally be in favor of apple doing another phone with this same 5c material to get out a cheaper phone. I just absolutely loved the design and colors

All I remember about the 5C was everyone I knew who had one would pretty much constantly have "storage almost full" flashing up.

The 5c was one of my favorite phones ever. I loved the way it felt in the hand. The first gen SE is one of my favorites to

the unresponsiveness is cause by GPS rollover and it affects old devices that haven’t been updated. you can fix it by doing a settings only reset

The non-responsive touch issue was extremely common with the 5C. I’ve been repairing and rebuilding iPhones since middle school, since the 3GS. There was a point where I refused to work on any 5C needing screen repair or having touch issues because, even with a transplant Apple screen from another 5C, touch issues always stuck. The hardware was garbage because the flat plastic housing allowed for constant incremental flexing of the internals, similar to touch disease on the iPhone 6/6+

That touch screen issue you were having on the 5c is almost certainly a bug. I remember early iOS 8 being incredibly buggy.

I know it's late but for the lag on the 5c, I had issues as well with my 5c on 8.1.3, and what fixed it is turning off location. I feel like it keeps on pinging for location, and it slows the device down. Mine works just fine with location turned off

I have a white 5c in perfect condition that I bought for like 20 dollars last year lol. If it was still supported it’s honestly not so bad. That single speaker even holds up 😂

I can pretty much confirm that the iPhone SE is a refurbished device with swapped shells and lots of swapped parts. I can also pretty much confirm that it is refurbished in China. The reason why I know this is because I used to live in China and they sell these fake new devices all the time. The trick is basically to buy a broken or old iPhone, and then strip it down, and replace it with new Chinese parts. It actually seems really high quality and stock at first, but if you actually use the phone it's gonna fall apart really easily. The battery health drops insanely fast, and the health percentage is software locked. If you open the phone you are gonna find traces of people opening it. It's a scam. A really big scam.

Hi Josh, I had the same problem with my 5c being unresponsive to the touch. Soon after a white bar began to appear at the top of the screen and discolouration. Try pressing on the top of the display on near the earpiece and see if it fixes the problem. I ended up taking off the display and then putting it back in firmly. Fixed the problem for me :)

I just turned on my 5c after years to see how it works today. Actually still pretty snappy on iOS 10. Only thing is app support is gone for Youtube, Messenger, Facebook, and the old apps don't work anymore. Oddly enough Youtube Music still works just fine, but the main Youtube app doesn't at all. Still works as an iPod, and I've got some old games on there that aren't on the app store anymore.

OMG, this thing is so nostalgic to me! It was my mom's first iPhone, and holy crap did it go through quite a bit! She set it on the roof of her car one day, we drove off, and ... thump! What was that?! It just went flying! It was also only in one of those cheap Apple silicon cases they made for the 5C, so like no protection at all. However, the phone was totally fine aside from a couple corner scuffs to the body and tears in the case. Later that year, a bird got in through the window and she had it charging by the sink, (full of water at the time), which she was by and knocked in, chasing the bird. That thing sat charging in water for some 10-15 minutes at least, came out just fine, unlike her old Droid 3 that barely got water splashed on it on vacation and was wonky ever since. I just remember thinking wow, how can a little plastic phone be so tough? I had the 5S at the time, and my dad the 5. The 5 crapped out on Dad within two years, even with battery replacement, and the TouchID on my 5S also stopped working after it went to my dad, so honestly the little 5C ended up the best of all of them!

I had that green color and loved it, I wish they had used it for the 11 series instead of the pastel colors.

Brings back memories. This was my first phone I got it in 7th grade. Good old days

This sounds crazy but I still have my Blue 5c since the day I got it. I’m using this phone as Apple music storage. Connect my Razer bluetooth earphones and I’m off to go.

I've used 5S for 8 years and only switched to 13 mini 3 weeks ago. Loved that phone.
