Excellent. Thank you so much, this is just what I needed to hear. The word of God is a two edged sword.

Very wise. The Bible tells us everything we need to know about the world and how to live in it.

Anyone who denies me before men, I will deny them to my Father.

Had this video in my recommended for some reason. I'm not a Christian, but I hope that won't deter anyone from reading and being respectful in their replies.

I truly believe in freedom of speech, and as such, I believe the men in this video have every right to say what they are saying. After all, it is their point of view, and I respect that. While I am not religious, I do live by a few important values that I think will make me a better person. One of my biggest values is acceptance. Regardless of how you may believe we came to be, one thing is undeniably true: every person is different, completely unique in their own way. No one person can truly understand another because our sheer complexity simply won't allow it. Because of this fact, I believe that we should be kind to all people, treat everyone with respect, and try our best to empathise with those we don't understand well.

Most Christians I know are very accepting of others, no matter their race, sexuality, gender, etc., which is reassuring. However, this sect of Christianity has a habit of blocking out those they don't fully understand instead of trying to understand them better. They allow their fear of the unknown to control them. This is a shame, but as I mentioned earlier, they have every right to.

Despite coming from a rather strong Christian background, my family has accepted my interest in science, human history, the history of the universe, evolution, etc., and they have also come to accept those they don't quite understand. Even they have come to see that you can still be faithful to your beliefs while loving and accepting all people, regardless of their creed or colour.

One of the biggest mistakes we see in the history of mankind is when we tar groups of people with the same brush. These two men, in my opinion, are allowing their fear of a small group of more extreme people to control their wider views on society and specific groups of people.

My point is when we endeavour to look past how people present themselves or what they look like to us, and we just look at how they treat others, we start to see a clearer picture of who they really are. Just the same as us: human.
