This is a trustworthy channel. After much research and sorting out which channels are just hyping products vs. conveying solid info, I too, landed on E6 and the R10. As mentioned in the video, there are a couple quirks, but tweakable and for the average to good golfer, this is an awesome solution for the money.

I love GSPro, use the new Bluetooth connector with my Garmin, don't need to use my phone anymore! Haven't tried E6. 450+ courses around the world so realistic and growing. I'm actually designing a course myself that is local to me, so much fun....Thanks for the videos...

Ok do you run E6 off Ipad or PC? You said graphics are really good which makes me think you must have a PC cause my Ipad is top line running E6 and it's pretty basic

I’m just getting started myself and I have the garmin r10 playing in my garage also; my question is what distance are u using for ball to screen and ball to unit. Are u running iPad? What size screen. It looks like ur projector fills the screen all the way. That’s one thing I’m having problems with

The Awesome Golf range is better than the E6 range. But E6 is better for actually playing rounds of golf; it also has a range data portal which is superior to the basic .csv file export which is all that Awesome Golf currently supports. When I’m using Awesome Golf in Detailed range mode, I actually perform a screen recording on my iPad to capture everything.

I don’t know what people see in the misnamed ‘Coaching’ mode of Awesome Golf, which doesn’t actually provide any coaching feedback. The Detailed view of Awesome Golf provides all the data in one place.

The Garmin R10 is a fantastic device. Its only drawback is the space required (6.5ft. R10-tee, & 7ft. tee-screen/net is all that’s actually needed). You aren’t missing anything by using the R10, because the qualitative difference between the R10 & the vastly more expensive devices is practically nonexistent.

Since space in my semi-open carport is at a premium, I went ahead & ordered the new Skytrak+, because it only requires 18in. horizontally from Skytrak+ to the tee, & only a couple of inches of ball flight. But the qualitative difference is pretty much nonexistent, & if I weren’t space-constrained, I would’ve stayed with the R10.

I’ll still use the R10 at the range & for travel, because it works really well & is eminently portable.

I’d suggest you check out the Phigolf 2 (be sure to get the 2!), which works with E6 & doesn’t require hitting an actual ball. It works well indoors, & also visualizes swing path well.

Finally, Sci-Core practice balls work really well with the R10 (I’ll be using the newly-available white ones with the Skytrak+). You may want to try them, as they’re quieter & don’t inflict as much wear & tear as real golf balls.

Just curious, now that you have had the R10 for a while, if you had the money or option to get a older Skytrak for around double the price of an R10, would you have rather went with that as your launch monitor or would you still have went with the R10? I am just starting and cannot decide which way to go. I think I can get an older Skytrak for $1200. Like you, I don't want to break the bank, but might be willing to spend an extra bit if it's worth it. I've been following you since the beginning, It's been a fun watch. Cool course and nice breakdown. "That's a big rock" LOL. I think that I saw a video of somone playing that course in real life; amazing landscape. Have you looked into GS Pro at all? I'm by no means knowledgeable about this subject and have just been reading up on some aspects of GS Pro after watching Willy Long and a few others. I guess that there's about 170 real premium courses and 5 fictional ones for about $250/year or something like that. I found out ( you probably already know ) that there's a hack to make it work on the Garmin Approach. Anyway, I was just curious on your thoughts on that even though E6 Connect looks great. The whole idea of just being able to try the Augusta knockoff for example seems pretty cool. Cheers.

I'm confused about the subscriptions for the e6. There's a license for 2500 for 27 courses then there's a one year subscription for 300 for 27 courses. Do you need a license and a subscription or is the license a lifetime thing. The website doesn't really explain anything.

wow, I use E6 and it's okay but for $300-$600 a year it doesn't even come close to GSPRO
