update: AFTER WEARING NIKE EPIC REACT FOR 1 MONTH! (Pros & Cons)

the (almost) DAILY VLOG - season 2 episode 44. Today we wanted to give you an update on the Nike Epic React. We got them 39 days ago and my brother and I have have worn them basically every single day since we got them. The React cushioning was initially said to be Niike's answer to Adidas Boost cushioning. We realized almost immediately that that wasn't true and that they were much firmer but more of a performance/running sneaker. So this is the update. Does the React bottom out? The most comfortable runner I’ve ever had. The react and flyknit work harmoniously together.

I also love how light they are in comparison to other casual shoes which are designed for comfort.

When I go on holidays I’d generally walk between 25-30km per day around whatever city I’m in. These have been by far the best runners I’ve worn for that. My feet are far far far less sore in these than compared to air maxes or anything else along those lines.


The only slightly major thing I’d change would be adding a full rubber outsole rather than just the toe and heel.

Definitely agree that the React is a performance shoe. It works best on hard, level surfaces in fair conditions. I wouldn't recommend this shoe for trail runs or wet conditions. I've been using this shoe strictly for running and I love em, my reacts have seen about 60mi on road/treadmill. I find this shoe perfect for road runs, no matter the distance or pace. I find that the shoe "reacts" to your effort, being soft & bouncy when going on slower long runs and becoming more supportive and giving more energy return when running fast. I think what you mean by the shoes being "not quite as comfortable" is that the flyknit on these is much more supportive than most Flyknit shoes. This is something I really enjoyed on this shoe because sometimes flyknit can be a little to flexible for longer runs.
