i think it’s important for teenagers to keep a journal that is just for them. it helps them work out their emotions. it’s like counseling (without the professional). taking away their privacy is like taking away their safe space.

Lucy said she would not live at home when she turned 23. Turns out, she ended up staying at the house for quite some time. She lived in the attic and above the garage before finding a house down the street from where her parents lived. She's the only sibling that didn't move far away from her parents.

I know how Lucy must have felt. My mom invaded my privacy and read my text messages between me and my friend John from my old current phone. I was so angry at her for that. That is why I was saying all those terrible things to her and about her. And how she never respected my privacy at all.
