The thing that gets me about the Maestro situation as well, is that if you look at the picture Bradley Cooper and Leonard Bernstein, Bradley already has a nose that’s the same size if not larger than Leonard’s. So the prosthetic just feels completely unnecessary in the worst way possible.

as a jew myself living in israel i have no idea why there isnt much stories about those individuals nor i've ever heard of them, but i don't think the jewish community does that i think the media does that

i’m gonna sound like a complete idiot for saying this but can someone PLEASE tell me why we call jewish people jews/jewish? like as in their religion defines them as a person kinda thing?. we don’t go around calling christian people “the christians” or muslim people “the muslims”. for the longest time i thought “jewish” was a race thing like how “white” and “black” people is a race thing, it wasn’t until about 4ish years ago i found out jewish was a religion ever since i’ve found that out i’ve been confused as to why we refer to them as “jews”/“the jews” instead of white(the majority of them that i see in my area, on tv, etc. are white but i know all jews aren’t white but i’m just using white as an example in this context). i’ve even seen jewish people when asked about themselves they say “i’m jewish” (example of this that i saw was a girl asking another girl was she mixed the girl said “no i just have a tan and my hair is just curly bc i’m jewish”) what does religion have to do with genetics? i understand the “oh i have curly hair because my mom is black” or “i have this type of skin because my mom is white” thing because race has everything to do with genetics, i just don’t understand where the religion being mentioned as if it’s your race comes from and i don’t understand why we only do it for jewish people. this whole thing is very confusing and i don’t understand everytime i bring it up everybody looks at me like i’m an idiot yet no one has explained anything ☹️.

Put your money where your mouth is and don’t depend on those who can’t or won’t share your stories … SIMPLE!

Yeah, even looking at Seinfeld. Jerry Seinfeld is half mizrahi, one of his parents is Syrian Jewish and yet his parents on the show were both ashkenazi. Why not have a mizrahi parent?? It would’ve been a great opportunity for representation and to introduce folks to mizrahi

Make that representation in art yourself! I don't mean that in a shitty way but would it be helpful to have white people trying to tell the story of Jewish poc? Be the change you want to see and people will absolutely consume it

As a Palestinian I agree. I have had so many people tell me I’m not a real culture because they’ve only ever known about the me Erupean Jew. They don’t know about the full blooded Jew, me

Edit: I just forgot I’m half chinese💀

Omg you're kidding right?
Why are you so focused on SKIN COLOR?
Why not foot size?
Or heart function?
Ear shape?
Vision level?

Whats wrong with you people?
We're all freaking HUMANS!!!
Skin color doesn't make or break a movie (unless it goes directly against the storyline itself as in a Biography, life story, or description of characters).

Stop being so racist!
Skin color is NOT IMPORTANT! 🙄🙄🙄
