1. Something worth remembering is that being a sheep or a sheepdog is not about courage, it's about the willingness to use violence to protect self and others. Many sheep are incredibly brave, they're just unwilling to harm others.
2. It is also important to remember that to provide the sheep with the perfect circle of protection, we need TWO types of sheepdogs: we need the dedicated uniformed professionals who enforce the law and come to your aid when called... and we need the everyday armed citizens who vanish seamlessly into the flock and mind their own business... but stand ready to give the wolf a very nasty surprise if he shows up.

"The sheep doesn't trust the sheepdog because he looks like a wolf" that makes alot of things make more sense now

Going off of everything I've seen I would say sheep dont hide behind the Sheepdog. I'd say in today's society the wolves have convinced the sheep that the sheep dogs the bad guy. And the wolves live off the sheep. the Sheep pretty much just willingly give themselves to the wolves.

Your forgetting about the 4th person the fox the one who acts like a friend. When first presented poses no threat, then once you turn your back attack the lamb or the sheep and those are the worst of people

I grew up as weak helpless and not very social. Changing schools every year due to bullying. As a grown man with a family to protect I train to the bone pushing myself to new limits becoming stronger by the day, Sheep dogs wolves that's all rubbish Id rather die than feel weak and helpless ever again. Don't ever let anyone make you feel that way, and if you're not strong enough work hard and become stronger.

The saddest part is when sheep resent the sheepdog…much to the delight of the wolves

They hate the sheepdog until the s*it hits the fan or you're holding their skull together and nobody else wants to help. True💯 A salute to those in the shadows whose sacrifices will never be known and those who fight for what is good🖤❤️

We had an officer killed yesterday working an extra job here in Houston Tx. His brave wife gave a brief statement about the sheep/sheepdog quote and I wanted to know more about it and came across this video! Now I understand! Thank you

Have you ever been in the position where you are doing the right thing and everyone else isn't? That's being a Sheepdog. What is hard for the Sheepdog is that the path it takes is usually where one walks alone. This was this week's topic for my own subscribers. The Sheepdog will suffer. Here is how you alleviate that lonesome walk of doing right. You look at the other dogs in the kennel. Eliminate the ones that don't know what they are talking about. That's 50% gone. Then the ones who are afraid to hunt. Another 25% gone. Then the ones who hunt but only for themselves--another 20% gone. The 5% left are the Sheepdogs. They aren't allowed near the kennel because the other dogs start snarling and barking. Why? Because the Sheepdog makes 50% look unintelligent, 25% look cowardly and 20% selfish. So the Sheepdog is condemned to walk the ridgeline alone. But the key to inner peace which took me 15 years to realize in the corrupt healthcare field I practice in is this: realize you can't make a regular dog into a Sheepdog. You don't get angry, you treat them with indifference. And you will see that other Sheepdogs will periodically pass you on other ridgelines. And others will gravitate toward you as well--because people would rather you hate them then not acknowledge them at all. And some will possibly get a little better. Hope this helps someone out there---Charles

Then there are llamas, who look ugly and useless, but they're the first to raise the alarm if something goes wrong. Then there are donkeys, which are docile and placid....until a predator shows up, in which case, the donkey will kick the living daylights out of said predator. Then there are horses, too good to be part of the flock. They used to serve a purpose, but nowadays, they serve no point other than being admired for their beauty, although you will still find the occasional working horse. Then there are the goats, who occasionally hang out with the sheep, but they tend to have more of a mischievous streak. Then there's the shepherd who gently leads his (or her) flock and makes sure the sheepdogs don't actually harm the sheep, thus kind of keeping them in check while working with them as partners to care for the sheep. Then there are sheepdogs who start out as benevolent, but they eventually become sheep killers. Even among sheepdogs, there are differences. Some have thicker fur to deflect a wolf's bite, thus enabling them to cause more wounds to their opposition than they receive. Some are known for their patience with the flock or their intelligence in learning to serve their shepherd. Others are known for being fearless; even when an entire pack of wolves is on the rampage, the sheepdog will take a stand to protect the flock, never to surrender in a fight. Then there are wolves who wear sheep's clothing to earn the trust of the shepherd, the dogs, and the flock; then they strike, and the sheep are destroyed. Then there are foxes, cunning and sneaky, but lacking the power to attack anything other than the weakest of lambs. In fact, they're more a threat to chickens than sheep, and we know what kind of people chickens are (the cowards of society). Even among the sheep themselves, there are differences. Some give fine wool for the benefit of mankind. Others are better suited for the recipe book, and society says good riddance to its spongers. Bottom line: There are more than 3 types of people in this world. A LOT more.

I'm a sheepdog. I kind of dislike it though due to the sheep. Sometimes it makes things harder to save them. It's like being a medic to a person unaware of their surroundings.

BASED ON WHAT? No one wakes up one day and says, "We don't like you anymore, sheepdog". The only time the sheep resent the sheepdog is when the sheepdog decides to act like a wolf. Or when the sheepdog turns out to be (or turns into), "A wolf in sheepdogs clothing". But that does NOT diminish, nor should it, our appreciation for the vast majority of Peace Officers who put their necks on the line every day and do the job right. The sheepdog has to do something real to earn our distrust and/or disdain.

The US Supreme Court ruled the sheepdogs don't have to protect, the sheep have to give up their teeth to prevent mass bitings and the wolf is the victim

Sheep’s have the most influence over the general order of society. The average of the perspective of sheep amount to the direction at which civilization moves. But really sheepdogs control the perspective of the sheep using fear. Wolves give power to the sheepdog by demonstrating that fear in society. Therefore sheepdogs use wolves to create fear in order to control.

Sheep always want more sheep. If they get more it affirms to themselves as being in the right and in the know. Also sheep like number to protect themselves knowing a wolf can only do damage to so many. Its a numbers game to the sheep. The sheep dog just sees 1 number and thats his foe! wolves tend to look at all like prey!

I always loved this analogy. a real sheep compared to a sheepdog has noticeable differences. An actual sheep is not able to defend itself against a wolf, no matter how brave it may be. a real sheep just does not have the tools to defend itself.

When talking about people, a sheep and a sheepdog are the same biologically. The difference is in the attitude. The sheepdog chooses to have the tools needed to defend against the wolf. That means a number of things, including having physical strength as well as the know how to fight. in addition, it also means being willing to take action and being aggressive enough to deal with the wolf. Tools can also include firearms as well, and the willingness to use them. These are the things young boys should be taught in order to have more sheepdog in society.

If I had a sheepdog that acted like the US government I would have it put to sleep

I consider myself a sheepdog. I’m not law enforcement or military. I don’t go looking for fights. But I will defend anyone in need with my life. Just the way I was raised.
