QUICK TRICK: Summing The Roots Of A Quadratic

In this video I'll be showing you a quick trick to work out the sum of the two roots to a quadratic without working them out explicitly. This method can also be proved as a quick corollary of Vietta's formula. This trick is extremely useful in tests and exams such as the TMUA (an admissions exam used by some universities).

BONUS EXERCISE: Use this method to find a shortcut to finding the product of the two roots of a quadratic.
