I finished watching this on our smart TV which means I couldn't comment then. That said, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your sustained focus on the process of sewing a wardrobe. Thanks to your teaching, I now have a coordinated wardrobe, have had my colors redone with ColorGuru, and can't bring myself to buy RTW base layer knitwear because my T&T patterns fit so well and sew so quickly. Your shacket looks so much like the one I owned when your mom and I were in high school. Glad to hear her recovery is going well and that you arrived home before the storm.

Love the capsule and so glad your Mom is on the mend. I loved seeing their fabulous basement! The corset dress/top looks interesting. Would love to see your ideas of what to wear with the higher waisted pants like the Merriam trousers. I have the Closet Core Mitchells to make which are also high waisted.

Having heard you refer to Madewell from time to time, I had the opportunity to stop into their Chicago Rush Street store last week and was able to take advantage of their fantastic sale! I am very pleased with my purchases. I love the different factions you are adding to your channel, Whitney! The worksheet wardrobe guides are a great tool; episodes such as this one helps those of us still struggling with capsule wardrobe building (I want to sew everything…in every substrate!!) Your winter capsule is going to be sensational (I love the color combo you are wearing today…very complimentary (AND my alma mater’s colors - Univ. of Illinois!!) A little surprised that your tall boots did not make it into your winter line-up this year???

I love the outfit you are wearing! It is very slimming as well as colorful. Years ago I had a very oversized man's multi-colored shirt that I wore as a topper. I loved that shirt sooo much. It was easy to care for but always looked luxurious and it was very comfortable to wear. Unfortunately, I wore it to death. Everytime "silk" is mentioned, my mind transports me back to that comfort item.

Love all your makes & all your plans. I know it feels good to be home and I bet your family was happy also. Happy to hear your mom is doing better and continues to heal. Those times like your mom & all of you have been going through can be tough & overwhelming but I’ve learned you just got to pray, support each other, and learn to roll with what life is dealing out. I was watching a YouTube fashion person talk about packing for travel. She stated the one item she ALWAYS takes is faux leather pants, which really surprised me. Then she explained. They never wrinkle. They don’t get dirty, just use a wash wrap to clean it off. They always look fashionable. It was during COVID and the dressing rooms were closed, but I went to Marshalls and bought 3 for $10 and less with the goal of finding one to keep. I kept 2!

I’m excited for the Ponte pants sew along, and I wish wish wish for a down and dirty PDF patterns for dummies tutorial before that starts. I’m old, and old school! Love seeing what you’re making for the capsule. I didn’t buy the autumn capsule but joined up again for the winter and I’m developing my sewing plans this week as well. I had to change a few more colours, and I have a lot of pieces that will work already, but I also will sew a good number of pieces just because I love doing it. Thanks for some good ideas!

I love your be thankful cardi. Such a pretty make. It looks like you could wear it over dresses, even like your Farm Rio style? Have you worn it that way? Also, back to your cream silk blouse, under your knitted cream vest? Ahhhh.
