👉 Learn how to divide rational expressions having square root binomials. To divide a rational expression having a binomial denominator with a square root radical in one of the terms of the denominator, we multiply both the numerator and the denominator by the conjugate of the denominator and then simplify. When the square root in the denominator is covering both terms of the denominator, we multiply both the numerator and the denominator with the denominator and simplify.

Quick question im taking trig and im a little rusty on algebra when rationalizing a fraction with a square root do we multiply by the conjugate meaning same denominator but changing the sign so if that's the way to rationalize the denominator how come we change the sign why not just leave the sign alone
