In church they say that Pilate condemned Jesus, but if you read the Bible it describes Pilate trying to get the people to agree to release Jesus, and when they wouldn't he literally washed his hands to say that he was having no part in Jesus's death and that the guilt would therefore be entirely on the people.

I loved the moments when Pilate stood up to Ciaphas, such as when Pilate had "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews" posted above Jesus' head (as was common at Roman executions to post the person's crime over their head) causing Ciaphas to have a fit and demandedPilate to remove it. Pilate's response was, "I have written what I've written!"

I read his entire letter to Ceasar. In it I found a man who was overwhelmed by the job of Governor. I found a believer in Christ as the son of God. And I found his story of the crusifixtion and resurrection to be entirely accurate with the storys in the Gospels. To say that this did not happen can no longer be taken seriously after reading this third party witness to the events.
