I love the ways brother Derek has made crystal clear how we are to embody the love of Jesus. In this age the need for foster families for children is enormous. The need for small spaces for senior women on welfare is enormous too. We were foster parents for 17 years to 2 little girls aged 6 & 9 who are now adults with relatively stable lives. We had a small 1 bedroom suite put in for the one special needs girl who was coming out of school and needed supports entering the world of work, independent living, etc. today that small suite downstairs is home to an aboriginal elder woman who is near her grandchildren and daughters. That was and is God’s deep desire that we do as he says…look after the widows and orphans. I pray some will read this and decide to look into the foster system opportunities near them. God bless and guide you. It is not always easy but it also brings great satisfaction too as you see children heal and grow because they are stable and cared for. ✝️🙏💝
