We have been waiting for this moment for a looong time!! It's time to know if our engine works after a few years off. Did it work? I guess you need to watch this episode to find out!! 😉

If you are new here... we are a Brazilian couple that have just bought a 44ft hot galvanized steel sailboat (Dinieper Tropic 1200) and is on the mission of bringing her back to life after 22 years abandoned on the hard. Once we are done, the plan is to sail her to our home town Florianópolis so we can finish building our land base, a Tiny Shipping Container House that we are building ourselves without any prior experience. Are you curious? Don't forget to subscribe and to join us every Monday for a new episode!!

Hey guys just fixing a mistake, on minute 5:32 we mention a salt water pump but it is actual a fresh water coolant pump. Basically the salt water impeller shown on minute 6:58 is used to circulate the salt water to cool down the fresh water that cools down the engine. Sorry for the mistake and hope it made sense. 😊

Duca and Roberta, you two are too much. I know little about engines, but watching you two, and watching your expression when you started the engine was well worth watching. My goodness, what a team you make.

I like that the engine has separate heads for each cylinder. That's smart.

I love the way you guys interact with each other and your subscribers.
I watch you guys as much for you two as I do for the boat videos.

This engine is running like a "sewing machine". When I saw the MWM sign I was 100% sure it works, it is German engineering . The founder of MWM was Carl Benz(today Mercedes Benz) 1870 in my hometown Mannheim/Germany. It was the name of his first machine shop (Mechanische Werkstatt Mannheim). In 1922 Benz sold this division and it became the Motoren Werke Mannheim AG also MWM when you use the first letter of each of the three words. These engines had to be bulletproof, because they were used in German submarines. Big advantage of this engine : you can use repair each cylinder separate without removing the complete cylinder head and you will find spare parts everywhere in the world . Good videos and very positive couple . Keep going and all the best. Always thumbs up!

Now you need the tank to be done so you can get the diesel, sails and a mast. It is fun watching your Vlog, thank you for all the time and effort you put into making it for us.

Wow, those spare parts, filters etc...are a great bonus. Worth a lot of money. That is a solid looking engine, should run many years. Great job guys, you are getting close to sailing. On that day, I will celebrate with you from my home in Florida.

It is amazing how fast your English improved doing these videos. Obrigados for speaking our language. Yes, I realize the form I used. I am sure there are many people who feel the same way. I have been to Brasil many times. I work with steel mills so of course I have been to Santos. So again, thanks! My Portonol sucks. LOL
