I trust these reviews a lot more than the reviews we get as soon as the device gets released, I feel that 6 months later the hype goes and the real value of the device is presented.

Just bought it last week. It completely changed my academic workflow! I love it. I have all my notebooks and textbooks on my Surface and my bag doesn't weight around 11 pounds anymore. I have the keyboard but barely use it - all I use is the pen (because I only have maths and the physical sciences courses). Great for students in STEM fields.

The one thing I'm most surprised with? The typing experience. When I needed to type out a long document, I always drift towards the SP4 instead of my mechanical keyboard. Other than that, the versatility of being able to immediately switch from a productivity device to a light entertainment tablet is something my traditional clam shell laptop can never hope to reach.

Have to totally agree here! I have mine for about 6 months now and I absolutely love it to bits. I came from a Macbook Pro retina + iPad air 2 but I could never go back now. The touchscreen has become 2nd nature and the build quality equals the Macbook in my opinion. And the best part is that it replaces those 2 devices almost perfectly. I upgraded to the anniversary edition 2 days ago and I have to say I like it better in tablet mode than before. I still mostly use it as a laptop but it has become just that bit better as a tablet for those late night couch surfing sessions. All in all best tech purchase I've ever done and for me personally the best computer I've ever owned!

I would have to say that i was honestly considering a surface pro before buying my Macbook Pro. But the reasons for leaving the PC world for Mac you touched on them, build quality over time. Coming out of the box the Surface Pro comes off as a great and sexy product but over time the device shows its true colors. Great video!

I just wish they'd actually make a hinge setup that doesn't rely on the back 'kickstand' to keep it up with the keyboard. On my 115$ z3775 asus t100, when you dock it? Its a laptop. You can change the angle to whatever you like. Much more lap friendly. Absolutely love that thing.

I don't if you still have, or even have been using it, but if you could do a 'review' on the Surface Book that would be amazing! You see, I'm planning on buying a second-handed Surface Book.

I just must have bad luck. I've owned 2 Surface Pro 4's and had to return both for heavy bug issues that required multiple daily restarts. I eventually had to give up. But that is always good to hear yours is still going strong.

I've had mine for 4 months now and absolutely love it. I use it as my home desktop. I'm using the Surface Pro4 dock with a remote keyboard, mouse, monitor and Ethernet connection. I don't travel much but when I do it will go with me.

I have to riff with the closing of this video: I would also buy it again, hands down. I was somehow a bit skeptical, when I bought my SP4, but I still decided to jump on the gun as it seemed to have pretty much what I was looking for (writing AND drawing). And let me tell you: it has been a really positive surprise and now I honestly think about not buying any other laptop-type of computer anymore. I'm just that used to it. Of course, this doesn't mean, that someone else couldn't do the same concept better at some point, but at the moment SP4 is a helluva reference to beat in what it does.

I have the surface pro 3. When at home, I use it mainly because it doesn't make my room hot like my desktop does. But when I do need some more processing power, I use my desktop.

Thanks for the review! The biggest issue I have is the price tag. I have purchased a samsung galaxy note pro for 379.99 plus 64.99 for the keyboard which were both on sale. Minimal price on the surface tablet I found was 1499.99. You can get the samsung with windows os if needed (I asked the rep at the store for price but the price was not yet set for the windows version). These days if you edit videos music or photos you dont have to use windows or mac tablets. Thanks for the quick review. I always come back to watch them.
