I watched this movie a while back. Didn't know J.D. Vance. I cried and cried - that movie was so moving. Then he was announced as TRUMP running mate. I did not know that until yesterday!

Makes sense how over time JD evolved on Trump from mistrust to trust. JD's own Mammaw was an unpolished, rough around the edges flawed say it like I see it force of nature with no verbal filter at all who acted out of a deep abiding love, loyalty, gratitude, generosity, pride, & service for people & values she held dear, fiercely trying to stand between who & what she loved & anyone or anything she percieved could potentially harm or hold them down. Despite her flaws & failings she became, in action over time, a reliable no bs unrelenting force for a profoundly life altering trajectory of hope & opportunity for JD, an otherwise stereotypical smart & good but unseen, unheard, unsupported, hopeless, invisible, skeptical nobody kid from nowhere. Mammaw, an uneloquent hero, was seen & deeply loved for what mattered most, standing up. Makes sense, over time, for JD to connect the dots.
