Great vid. I just got a solo and the battery packs last for about 2 minutes before the drone freaks out and tries to fly home. Can't wait to have a good battery

Just curious why you actually cut the JTS-XT balance connector at the beginning of video? The one aftermarket you bought could have saved you soldering time correct? New battery balance is make and the bmsone pcb is female…

What I’m really a beginner here. I have 3 batteries 2 won’t charge and one last like 4 minutes of air time. So I buy a 16.6 battery and plug the new mod to it and how do I connect to drone ?

Great Stuff Dan- hope you are well! I finally got around to getting my bird back in the air yesterday and decided it has been too long and I want to start flying again, but all I have are the stock batteries (all seem fine, I know I know they are, until they are not)- I am going to give this mod a try- Again THANK YOU! but one step I am not 100% on- Is battery calibration necessary after the build? Are there steps on how to do that?

Hi Dan, thanks for sharing this, you've saved us all a lot of time. My Solo batteries gave up a few months ago and I finally got around to doing a battery mod and made a test flight today.
Where I live there was nowhere with the recommended Tattu batteries in stock, so I tried an equivalent spec Zeee 5200mAh 4s 50C with Deans connector. However the flight time (from 96% to 20%) was way shorter than expected at about 7m15s. Has anyone else had this issue with other battery makes, and do you guys still use the Solo charger or a generic one?

if so.e of you are thinking the flux is not necessary, it is very necessary, when the flux gets hot it becomes an acid that cleans any oxidation or grime away from the connection allowing a very solid electrical connection
