Akron Children's Hospital - Emergency Department Tour

DeSalvo Construction was the construction manager for Akron Children’s Hospital’s new 32,000 sq. ft. Emergency Department addition.

The facility opened in April 2023 and includes 23 treatment rooms as well as 2 resuscitation rooms. Three of the treatment rooms are outfitted to meet any behavioral health needs patients may require. Additional office staff and workstation areas were also built as part of this great project.

In addition to the new facility, DeSalvo renovated transportation areas, decontamination rooms, the chiller plant, the utility tunnel and new parking lots.
