You don’t need Blood and Gore to make a film scary. The Games have proven this. These films need time to use its atmosphere and to build tension in order to make the jumpscare actually work. Not just have it Pop Out when of the blue or be able to know it’s gonna happen a whole 3 seconds before it does.

VHS tapes has ruined FNAF fans. They make you think that FNAF is this super gory scary game when, in reality, Scott never planned for FNAF to be rated R or M. He always wanted to keep a TEEN or PG-13 rating. Who knows, maybe we will get a directors cut.
