Hello Ian, the links are still working (10.09.2024). Florian Anwander is a well known Synth guy in Germany. Annother source for books could be the local library - they often have a huge amount of books around music. I 'scanned" the roland recording book and as you said - a little outdated but most of the topics have found a new home in the actual daws and the topics and used descriptions are quite the same.
