She said - that hating your neighbor (without knowing anything about them) just because of their political orientation, is similar to what took place in Germany when a propaganda campaign attacking neighbors (without knowing anything about them) started due to a person's race (ie: Jewish). The INTENT was to get ppl to stop spreading hate without substance. What's scares me the most about this particular issue - is the lack of comprehension from the populace. Granted, the Holocaust is not a situation to use lightly for a comparison but it was a Cancel Culture which is what Hollywood seems to love.
