Love your videos. Only done one passage from San Diego to Hilo in a Dutch motor sailer. Three weeks, with major issues. Mainsail and mizzen blew out. Repaired main. Generator crapped out. The gear box seized due to no oil. It was a brand new Yanmar unit but the Capt. didn’t check the oil. Thru hull fitting to the head crapped out, so no head for last two weeks. Fortunately we had power from the engine alternator. Wonderful memories. Thank you Barry. Wishing you fair winds and following seas. 🇬🇧🏁

When I saw that yellow boat leaving with the anchor swinging and possibly banging the hull I thought :” troubles never come alone”...

I done pretty much the same when I was sailing in Norway and the arse didn't even acknowledge that I helped, BUT it wouldn't stop me from helping again, that's what we should do, don't let one idiot stop ya.!!

Like you, I always help people in their time of need. I never expect anything in return for it. So it is always sweeter when someone reaches out and treats me to something after having helped them. I too am on my own in this world, but up until just recently. It's been all land loving for me. But I'm an old Navy salt and the sea is calling for me again. So now that I am in a position to buy another boat. I'm going to do so. Sailing to S.E. Alaska is my goal. I used to live there so I know what to expect. Hope someday to run into you and "I'll" buy you that much earned beer!

Very, very surprised they never thanked you properly, but that's the nature of some people. Good on you for your efforts!

What a bunch of landlubbers! By not propitiating to you, they are guaranteeing they will come to harm by Neptune's hand someday.

Obviously a boat owner who dosn't give a crap, and relies on others to keep him out of jams. He will make another serious mistake one day...and there won't be any good sailors to save him!...Good man Berry!

Barry of the Perrins clan, good to hear from you again! Head west, my friend, southwest. You need to be in the warmer waters of the South Pacific.

You're a good man for rowing over to wake up the wayward sailors. Good on you!

Thanks grumpy. Great video. By the way I'm 67 so I feel quite comfortable calling one of my peers grumpy.

Hats off to you for helping the big Bannana! They're too yellow to be gracious and say thanks at the least. Happy Sails!
