I praise God that MacArthur did not attack, denounce, or even directly disagree with Pastor Begg. He truly walked the walk. Unlike many on line, he was not mean, ugly, or condemning. Instead, he comes across as sad….with love in his heart for a fellow brother.
I hope many learn from his example.

I watched the Q&A streaming. No doubt it was planned in advance as a 55 year event, when they had no idea the Alistair Begg situation would come up. But I think this is evidence that it really would be a major distraction if Alistair did attend the Shepherd's Conference. I think you're right, that Alistair was on Pastor MacArthur's mind when he made that comment... along with a few others who did not finish well. It's a sober reminder of how much we need to be diligent in prayer for the leadership in the good churches.

Pastor John certainly deserves recognition for his 55 years of ministry but I can't help but think of all the faithful ministers who labor in small churches and are barely getting by on what the congregation can afford. I'm thankful for every minister who is faithful to their calling.

The question with Allister Begg surrounds the way the grandson would view the way what the grand mother does 3:53 responds to what and no one can predict all those variables and have to add to make assumption or false narratives . This whole thing is ridiculous!you again are assuming it may be about Begg shame on you! Attacking Begg on YouTube is definitely unbiblical . Believe me Begg has 40 tears of faithful blessing that he has given full credit to God for! You are assuming and just admitted it

Thanks for sharing this Tim as I missed all of this. That quote that John said at the end of the Q&A I think it was said in general in light of what as happened with Alister Begg. But it's a warning to all of us also the person that takes over regardless of a good history if they aren't genuinely born again will buckle under persecution, of which is heartbreaking when you think about it.. . I pray that all of us and all at GCC will stand firm and finish well in Jesus precious name Amen 🙏🏾💜

Alistair Begg is a great speaker. I watch the Parkside Church service every Sunday morning. His words are powerful and full of sound biblical teaching.

I was just telling my friend this morning that I always pray for Pastor John because even though he's done well, his life isn't done and we want to see him finish well. And in the end I think he did say that pastors need to be held up in prayer.

People give some people great power and admiration for their work to increase the kingdom of God, but if one of them says something they judge erroneous, they want to vanish them, fortunately, God is the judge and He sees the heart of the one being judge and condemned by me.pastor Alistair Begg has a clear conscience and his life is a testimony of his love for God and His truth. His gospel teachings are perfect and salvific to any one who listen to them and I am one of them.I am so glad that his congregation is standing behind him and so is my God who is full of grace, wisdom and love.

Pastor John doesn’t remember that not to long ago he made a blunder. Pastor Allister Begg , a man of God, will stay standing with God’s blessing and judgment because He sees his heart and intention that will keep him under His grace.
