During the time when the world went crazy due to panicdemic, I checked to see how much it would cost to rent a car for a week. I have a time share near SLC. It was north of $1000. No way! That, and the fact that airlines could no longer be trusted, means I drive everywhere. I am retired, so time is not the issue for me that it might be for some. Besides the U. S. has some spectacular scenery. Why fly over it? But, if flying and then renting, I agree, it is well worth knowing what coverage one already has.
