Where and how did you come to that conclusion? From this short clip and and your brief erroneous statement regarding Mr Friedman’s response to the Great Depression I find it dubious at absolute best that he would support government funding for coronavirus.

No way. His idea of government intervention during the depression was that the Fed failed in the only thing the Fed was supposed to do. If a government type organization only has one job and doesn’t do it. Well, I doubt Friedman would say that we should let the government run things even more.

Friedman was very critical of government intervention in the great depression. He criticized the government for letting the money supply fall by 1/3. He doesnt think inflation is good.
