Frightens me now to drive an ordinary car and rely on my own capabilities, having driven the Model Y for the last 8 months.

A Tesla raceway event would also be an amazing P R event featuring Tesla autopilot engineering, racing against professional race car drivers.

So, this is a clickbait video. The version 9 update is not hear yet and you are just reviewing FSD up to the current date. That's fine but don't lie in the title.

Tesla cars should be able to see through each other's cameras and make decisions as well as communicate with each other or share instant data.

So what is the range in a snowstorm at -10C / 14F ?
Coz my 24 year old Volvo will do about 800 km / 500 miles on a full tank (fully loaded with heat and wipers at full blast all the time)
I can also have a jerrycan or two in the back and increase the range significantly

Nice information it save a lot of time for searching all this information. Keep it up

6:28... this is what I'm worried about. Was able to use auto-pilot to assist in complete fog about two years ago, if using vision only I'm sure the car would have pulled to the side of the road.

It might be interesting to put one on a race track to test every possibility with racing car drivers to test every scenerio & response to the clear vision A I technology.

I just dont understand why forgo the radar and what not? Is it a trouble you integrate? Wouldn't you want the computer to be able to make decisions with precise measurements?

Lol I just finished watching one of your video and when I went back this was just sitting there 😂

I well done, well researched video. The only discrepancy is Tesla using sonar. Though they are related Tesla uses ultrasonic sensors.

Can Tesla's vision-based FSD do a license number check on the fly, just in-case of leaving the scene, being involved in an accident and leaving the scene, and reporting crimes, etc?

I would feel much safer in a FSD Tesla than driving myself. The car’s reaction time is just a lot faster!

Vision is looking at reflecting light. And multiple wavelength vision is better than human. So the question does infrared see better in rain and is that better than radar? Also can the radar detect a puppy who could move unpredictable or can vision do it better? I think vision is the best

It's an incredibly stupid and even reckless idea to abandon the use of radar. Why? Because only radar can see far ahead of cameras under adverse conditions, such as heavy fog. It seems to me a Tesla that relies only on cameras will drive right into that 50-car freeway pileup just like a human would. I can't understand why Tesla wouldn't design a system that could outperform a human to the highest degree possible, and not just seek parity. If Tesla doesn't, someone else will, and will use that to gain a competitive advantage.

Tesla used radar to train the cameras. The radar gives accurate depth and it cross checks that known depth with what the camera guesses for that same object. If the camera’s guess is off it is corrected and trained.
