Supporting English Language Learners in the DDSB

In the Durham District School Board, the ESL Department supports elementary English Language Learners in the classroom through a coaching support model. ESL coaches work alongside teachers to support capacity building through a job-embedded model. They also support English Literacy Development (ELD) students within the classroom.
