Hey, maybe you miss this loop option in audacity since it’s a bit hidden.
You can see this option loop play if you hover over the play button.
So If you want to loop or repeat track just hold shift and press space.
This also works with the selections.
Select part of the audio and also hold shift and press space.

And this is how you loop audio in audacity.

Well this was at 2019. The way for loop the audio is different but same is simple. Just select the audio and then press L for enable loop, then when you want to disable, press again L.

thats true but what if the sample im using is way too short for example of 15 secs but i need to use the same sample as the background music throughtout the music. How do i use the same sample over and over in such a way that it blends in and transitions well without sounding weird

Thanks. It seems Audacity took some cues from the Blender team when it comes to UI design; hide it from view because only devs use it anyway so make it a shortcut :)
Such a basic feature.

God damn this tool is the worst by far, and I've used a lot of bad software, but this is incredibly bad, it's shocking how awful. I get that it's free, but is that an excuse lol...
