UW Data Science Seminar 11/1/2022

Please join us for a UW Data Science Seminar event on Tuesday, November 1st from 4:30 to 5:20 p.m. PDT. The seminar will feature Tanya Harrison, Director of Strategic Science Initiatives at Earth imaging company Planet Labs.

Biography: Dr. Tanya Harrison is the Director of Strategic Science Initiatives at Planet. Prior to this, she spent over a decade working in science and mission operations for multiple NASA Mars missions, including the Opportunity and Curiosity rovers and Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. She holds a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Western Ontario, a Masters in Earth and Environmental Science from Wesleyan University, and a B.Sc. in Astronomy and Physics from the University of Washington.
