Keep in mind that I am from Atlanta, but that is the best and most unique presentation of the Barbican I have ever seen! Wonderful!

Stunning! I didn't think the barbican towers were entirely occupied! They actually look better close up, than from a distance!

All the council estates should have been like this, they would have stood a greater chance of working had they been so beautiful and human and maintained... even the weathering of the surfaces is beautiful here

The Barbican Estate is one of few examples of brutalism that shows what can be achieve with the right funding, design and mindset. Brutalism is like marmite you love it or hate it.

Most examples were cheap, underfunded poorly designed and maintained by councils. If the barbican example was maintained in every brutalist development in Britain we may have had more or at least less demolished. Shame really I am one of those people who would love to live in one of those three towers 😄
