I've never seen anyone more kind and considerate to the other musicians on stage than Yo-Yo Ma. He is a treasure

I'm doing well at work, smiling with my family, and doing well on the outside. But in fact, a month has passed since the relationship ended while trying to protect a difficult partnership to regain the lost love. I endure every day with great psychological anxiety and internal pain of personal separation. Then I met this video, and little by little, my mind came back to reality and I am finding stability. Thanks a lot. I'll live well again.

Have been listening to Yo-Yo Ma for decades and finally had the chance to see him perform only a few years ago -- in Arizona, of all places.
Drove a hundred miles for that and dragged our son and his college friend for that performance!

I love the way Yo Yo Ma plays for the orchestra, the composer, the conductor and the audience. He puts all the heart and passion he can muster into whatever piece of music he plays.

I lived in Prague at the time of this concert. Was a regular at the Czech Philharmonic but couldn't get a ticket for this particular show (in high demand and quite pricey). Glad to have a chance to hear it years later. Heard many other great things there - evenings at the Czech Philharmonic are always special.

Yo Yo Ma's cello has the most personal tone, the way he interprets music is out of this world! Thank you!

I saw Yo-Yo Ma for the first time at UC Berkeley's Zellerbach Hall in the 90s paying only student ticket price for a returned ticket. He collaborated with Merce Cunningham Dance Company playing on the side of the stage in front of balcony seats. The cancelled seat I got was on the balcony only about 10ft away from him. I watched him playing Bach's Cello Suite the whole time, not caring about the dance performances. Truly unforgettable memory. I went to his performances a few times afterward paying full prices but was never that close. Thanks to him, I am an amateur cellist now. What an inspiration!

Yoyoma. Made up my mind to do an oilpainting of you, and chris botti, together, playing ennio morricone. I'm a medical doctor but have been painting for fifty blessed years. Marvellous performer. You look like my dear departed dad. I'm chinese and 75yo..you show such graceful manners and mutual respect to your fellow artistic colleagues and the conductor. To see you shine, the whole world feels much more warmer to each other.

This kind of communication between Ma and the entire orchestra is incredible touching.

The world will lose one of the few lights it has when Mr. Ma dies. I hope we the young can carry his knowledge in great pride and happiness as he is today. I'm so grateful for his existence and joy.
He is our great teacher for us young musicians. I have a deep love for him.

There are many cellists I greatly admire, from Casals to Tortelier to Rostropovich, but Yo Yo Ma's precision combined with feeling makes him unique. He is the greatest.

Yo-Yo Ma is truly an amazing musician, but the entire orchestra were all amazing musicians too... I have watched so many presentations like this one as a child on PBS and I still do 45 years later...

Ive seen Yo Yo Ma in concert many times decades back. Still couldn't forget his recital in UCLA Royce Hall on an evening when he played at least 8 encores, bringing all audience to standing ovation, and some continuing yelling 'yo yo' and many cheering for him to play more.

I have no doubt that Dvořák himself would have been immensely delighted with this performance. It exudes a remarkable freshness and vibrant palette of colors, making it truly wonderful 🤩
