To the person who helped me appreciate Cup of Joe more because it was her favorite band, I want to express my gratitude. Now i know why you love them so much, they are great band! For the short time we spent together, despite my mistakes, I am thankful for everything. I deeply regret not being fully prepared—I was scared and overwhelmed back then. And now whenever I hear any song by Cup of Joe, I can't help but think of you. This song hits me harder than it should be. It is like me and my wife is singing both of the verses. The boy who made the greatest mistake and the girl who embraced his partner's biggest flaw.

I made the biggest mistake of cheating on my wife. It was so out of character of me to do that but what's done is done. I've hurt so many lives that time, especially my spouse. The guilt always lingers around. It drove me to the point of losing my sanity. I cannot redeem myself, it will be a permanent scar on her heart and a scorch to my soul.

It was one of my most harrowing experiences in life. We both kept it under the rug, not until hearing this song. We decided to talk about it.
