Premier Li Keqiang said Beijing had spared no effort in containing the coronavirus outbreak, but the economic fallout was immense.
Meanwhile, in Hong Kong, pro-democracy protesters say a proposed national security law poses a direct challenge to the region’s promised autonomy.
