The ShrutiBox is the title of an ongoing series of internet music videos composed, recorded, performed and directed by clarinetist and composer Shankar Tucker. Shankar’s musical style blends Classical music, Indian folk music traditions, jazz, pop music and electronic to create a unique and original fusion sound, both in solo recordings and with some of the most talented and accomplished young Carnatic and Hindustani vocalists and instrumentalists, including Vidya Vox, Vandana Iyer, Nirali Kartik, Mahesh Vinayakram, B. Sree Sundarkumar, and others. Shankar himself plays a wide range of instruments in his recordings: piano, bass, kanjira, tabla, and other percussion instruments.

Rough Translation:

Soaked, smoky, lost, and intoxicated,
The shore meets his soulmate.
Deeper than the sea itself, is the shore.

He loves sea with passion,
He listens as the sound of the waves
Are drawn from the sea like the string of an Ektaara.
The shore is always there to worship the sea.
 
The sea and the shore are like lord Krishna and Radha,
How can Krishna live without Radha?
If Krishna is there, Radha will be there.

I still remember the day wen she was auditioning for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and the  judges were making fun coz of her appearance(matters the least) and the moment she threw her Crisp voice on  the one was awestruck and dumbfounded....Hats off to Rahman Saab for producing such a Quality student KM Music conservatory is proud to have produced such stupendous a lot Mr Shankar Tucker to launch such talented guys....Spellbound
