For those who didn't get the point, if you can't even google how to get the visa, probably you better refrain from traveling

EU citizen here. No hard visa needed, just eVisa.
And it’s very easy to get it.

super easy to get a Russian visa as a American. Go to Greece. visit the Russian visa center., fill out the paperwork and pay the fee. say good bye to your passport for 2 weeks and then say hello to it again with a three year visa to Russia. PS do not drive in Moscow if you already have road rage in America, and put the sourcream in the Borge.

Got a similar situation, but still travel to Russia twice a year.
But every year the route gets more complicated. 😅 Miss the times when we just took the plane for 3 1/2 hours.
Family is the most important thing, and Russian relatives are so loving and caring.
Russians pretty well distinguish between the individual and politics. So being US-American or German like me is no problem there.

I visited Moscow from America this year. It is incredibly expensive to fly there (we flew Turkish, the only one we could get, though there are a few others). However, as long as you have a valid passport and a visa, there should be no problems going or leaving Russia. Absolutely be sure to bring cash (not to exceed $10K), book a hotel ahead of time, and learn some basic Russian (knowing how to read it is very helpful).

The only thing I was stressed on was keeping and having all of my docs and paperwork on me. Other than that I just let Anastasia handle everything. Perm is a very nice city and can’t wait to visit it again.

Being a Dual US-EU citizen lets me go to Russia with an E-Visa. I am also eligible for El Salvadorian Citizenship which would allow me to go Visa Free.

My cousin recently travelled thru Estonia...but the line of people at the Russian/Estonian border was crazy

Got the visas, came to Russia that was not as difficult (Vancouver - Istanbul - Sochi) and absolutely love it here! Too bad we are leaving tomorrow 😢
Now planning another trip next year this time to Moscow.

Foreign websites also work, but not all of them, also it's VERY easy to bypass all restrictions

with VPN any foreign website works in Russia, it might be annoying at first but you get used to it quickly

I visited St. Petersburg 10 years ago during a Baltic Sea Cruise. It was the cleanest city this world traveler has seen!
