I am gonna be honest here and confess that Betty is the reason why I find the whole Natasha and Bruce relationship weird. The way these two act in this movie makes it difficult to believe Bruce could just forget Betty's existence and start feeling like that for Natasha

unlike most superhero love interests, shit really wouldn’t have gotten done without betty in this movie. threw herself in front of a tank, the hulk, into battle all to make sure banner was okay. and it didn’t feel like she was a plot device either, she offered her own solutions and opinions on the way things were going and just naturally complimented bruce as herself, as opposed to shifting to suit the writing’s needs or his character (mary jane in the tobey trilogy is a good example of how not to write a love interest or woman lol). betty’s superior.

Such a raw emotional, heartfelt scene. No non-stop unfunny jokes, no corny lines, no overdone CGI, just two talented actors showing us lovers torn apart after being separated for so many years. Kudos to Edward Norton and Liv Tyler for bringing us the best relationship in the MCU. I wish Marvel movies had this kind of tone still.
